Citizens of the United States have rights under the Federal Constitution, which allows for privacy rights. Such rights, along with freedom of expression for artists and directors, allow citizens to search, view and own adult DVDs, adult magazines, adult novels and novelties, etc. While a few backwards states prohibit the possession of sex toys and engagement in anal sex (yes, for heterosexual couples too), our fight for complete sexual freedom is erotica heaven as compared with other nations. Consider China, where 10 government ministries recently cracked down on a group who produced salacious material for sales overseas and made a meager $6500 within the last 14 months. There is a 24-hour hotline to report illegal sites. There is a 24-hour hotline for citizens to report pornographic sites to the government so that they may be banned. Who exactly gets the job of reviewing possible pornographic sites? Hmm. I wonder how much time they spend on those sites before banning them, presuming they don't have work-arounds for the bans. Doesn't China have bigger problems to deal with concerning its population of over 1 billion people than pornographic sites? To think they dedicate so many resources to this is unbelievable. Perhaps their citizens don't have a problem with it because they have never known a world of instant access to your favorite porn genre. Tis a shame.
